HOTEL DUE FANALI
Italy - Venice (Venice)
Santa Croce 946
Description
Built near the church of S. Simon the Prophet, founded around the year '967 by rich families, the Due Fanali Hotel was initially an oratory in wood used by fishermen and gardeners, which was subsequently rebuilt.
The interior vaunts paintings by Jacopo Palma The Young, one of the most important of the sixteenth-century mannerist painters. The Hotel was, on the contrary, an ancient religious school connected to the oratory. On the outside a beautiful bas relief of the Saint still witnesses this past.
The Hotel also offers four apartment suites near St. Mark's Square, on the Riva degli Schiavoni, an interesting alternative to a hotel room, characterised by greater privacy and efficient organization in a comfortable, typically Venetian atmosphere.

The 16 rooms are provided with every modern comfort (safe, minibar, air conditioning, television, telephone, private bathroom) and are tastefully furnished with precious headboards, hand-painted by a famous local antiquarian, antique beams in the ceiling, precious curtains and refined details. The bathrooms are decorated with terracotta tiles and precious Carrara marble which contribute to make even these small rooms comfortable and elegant.
