Description Description: On the Island of Ischia, in the heart of the old historic centre of Forio, you?ll find Villa MariaLuisa. The Villa is sorrounded by a typical Mediterranean garden of about 2000 square metres, and is a lovely country house surrounded by a lush Mediterranean garden with lemon, orange, mandarin and palm trees, and an English style lawn. The Villa is famous for its beaches, amongst the most beautiful on the island, and for the Poseidon and Negombo Thermal Parks. All buildings are built in respect of the surrounding nature. The whole property is kept with great care, especially the garden where you can relax in the shade of the trees after a warm sunny day. The country Villa offers recently-restructured independent Apartments of different sizes (from 50 to 90 qm) for 2-6 people, each with its own garden and all comforts. In addition to all this, there are daily trips to Capri, Naples, Amalfi, Sorrento, Pompei, Positano and Vesuvius leaving from Forio?s port (only 100 metres away). The Villa is situated in Forio, in the northern part, where there are many evocative areas of naturalistic interest; it is the only town which has preserved its entire historical centre with its tiny streets, churches, sighting towers and monuments. The charming village of Forio d'Ischia offers many restaurants where you can enjoy typical foods. It also has many bar, pubs, delicatessen shops, and is only five minutes walk distance from the Villa. The main Beaches of Ischia (Citara, San Francesco, Cava dell'Isola , Chiaia) are at walking distance from the Villa, but you can also take a bus or a minibus. The nearby bus stop also allows you to reach the most distant areas in town, like "Villa Gancia" gardens; "Villa Mortella gardens" Lady Walton (1st prize in 'The most beautifulr Parks in Italy 2004'competition); Poseidon Thermal Garden (a park with more than 20 swimming pools in the Citara bay) and la Colombaia (Luchino Visconti Museum, director of 'il Gattopardo); Chiesa del Soccorso; the great tower of Torrione and the Chiesa di San Vito. Subject to agreement pets are admitted. Distances: Villa Maria Luisa is just 100 metres from both the town centre of Forio and the port. The nearest beach is just 400 metres away. The spa gardens are just 1 km away (it takes just 15 minutes to walk there). The nearest bus stop is 150 metres away and it is then just 10 km to get to Sant'Angelo (a splendid typical town of the area, perfect for all romantics).

Accomodation:
In a central position, surrounded by gardens and with all comforts, our apartments offer a unique feeling of well-being. The apartments have been recently refurbished (following the local style), and include a balcony overlooking the gardens of the Villa.
The accommodation is divided into apartments of different sizes (40-90 square metres) and typology, to better satisfy the different needs of our guests. They can accomodate from 2 to 6 people.
You can require an extra bed.
Subject to agreement pets are welcome.
The apartments offer the followings services:
parking area; weekly cleaning and tidying; weekly replacement of all linens and towels; electricity consumption; water consumption; television and frige; garden.
Location
Right in the historic center of Forio d'Ischia, encircled by a Mediterranean garden of approximately 2000 mq with lemon, mandarin, orange and palm trees, you can find Villa Maria Luisa. From Forio?s Port (only 100 mt away) hydrofoils depart for Naples and every day there are excursions for Capri, Ponza, Ventotene, Sorrento and Positano,Amalfi, Pompei, Vesuvius etc. The Villa is in Forio, on the northern side, where there are many evocative areas of naturalistic interest.
Apartments are near the most beautiful beaches of the Island (Citara, San Francesco, San Montano, Cava dell'Isola , Chiaia) and the most important Thermal garden (Poseidon and Negombo).
From Airport:
From the NAPOLI CAPODICHINO airport it is possible to reach one of the two harbours of NAPLES by taxi in 20-30 minutes; there is also a bus line, which connects directly with the harbour of NAPOLI BEVERELLO.
From Train Station:
There are four available railway stations to reach one of the harbours of Naples:
NAPOLI CAMPI FLEGREI. From this station it is easy to reach the harbour of MERGELLINA by TAXI, bus, tram or underground. Mergellina is at approximately 3 km from the railway station.
NAPOLI MERGELLINA. This station is at more or less 200 m from the MERGELLINA harbour.
NAPOLI CENTRALE or NAPOLI PIAZZA GARIBALDI. Both stations enable you to have an immediate access to Piazza Garibaldi, which is at about 4 km from the NAPOLI BEVERELLO harbour and is easily reachable by TAXI, tram or bus.
From Road:
From ROMA (A1) - From BARI (A16) - From SALERNO (A30)
It is better to follow the road signs for the "TANGENZIALE" (bypass) (exit No. 12) and to go on towards Pozzuoli. Then please exit at the Via CAMPANA (exit No. 12) and proceed towards the HARBOUR of POZZUOLI (ONLY ferries), which dists about 4 km.
You can also reach the harbour of NAPLES BEVERELLO (both ferries and hydrofoils). You DON'T HAVE TO turn into the "Tangenziale", but you must follow the road signs for the ZONA PORTUALE (HARBOUR AREA) and, after the exit, continue towards the harbour, which is at about 5 km from the highway.
From Port:
The port is only 100m away from the Villa, so you can even reach it from the port on foot.
