Description The Hotel Villa Liana is situated in an antique villa dating from the 19th century, that used to house the British consulate in the years when Florence was the capitol of Italy. The hotel is placed in a tranquil street in the centre of Florence, ten minutes walk from the Dome and 15 minutes from Fortezza da Basso, Ponte Vecchio and Piazza della Signoria. From here various routes Irradiate that brings you to the most elegant areas of Florence. Close to here you will find the romantic gardens so estimated by the English and Americans. The Botanic gardens, founded in 1545, is complete of full-grown trees and vegetable spicies in the flowerbeds, in this garden known as ?Il giardino dei Simplici?. The Monastery of Saint Marco collects the most important works of Beato Angelico. Close by are also the Piazza SS. Annunziata, famous renaissance square, The archaeological museum; the Hebrew synagogue and the Hebrew cemetery. From Airport:
Follow signs to town center. Drive on "Viale Redi" towards the centre of Florence, cross the main boulevard and take "Via G.Monaco". Turn left at "V.F.lli Rosselli" and drive under the railway. Continue along "Via Filippo Strozzi", turn right and go along"Viale S.Lavagnini". In "Piazza della Libertà" keep your right and continue along "Viale Matteotti" and when you are in "Piazza Donatello" turn right in "Via Alfieri". You will find the Hotel Liana on your left side
From Train Station:
walking: 30 minutes
Take via Panzani until the Duomo. At the Duomo turn left in via Martelli and go on until Piazza San Marco.
In piazza San Marco make right in via della Colonna and go on unti piazza Massimo D' Azeglio.
When you arrive in Piazza D' azeglio turn left and after the first cross is via Alfieri.
We are on your right side.
By bus n° 31 or 32 from the train station
By taxi approx euro 10.00
From Road:
By car from north: from A1 highway take the exit "Firenze Nord" and follow signs to town center. Drive on "Viale Redi" towards the centre of Florence, cross the main boulevard and take "Via G.Monaco". Turn left at "V.F.lli Rosselli" and drive under the railway. Continue along "Via Filippo Strozzi", turn right and go along"Viale S.Lavagnini". Drive along the Arno river following the boulevard "Lungarno Aldo Moro" which turns in "Lungarno Cristoforo Colombo". When you find "Ponte San Niccolò" bridge on your left, turn right in "Viale G. Amendola". You will pass "Piazza Beccaria" and continue straight on "Viale A. Gramsci". When you arrive in "Piazzale Donatello", you should drive around it and turn right into "Viale Alfieri". Finally, you will find Hotel Liana on your left side.
